Our Eco-Responsible Commitment

At Canadel, we believe in a sustainable and environmentally responsible future. That’s why we continuously implement new initiatives to minimize our environmental footprint. Our commitment guides our actions and decisions, from designing our products to managing our operations.

In an effort to offer products that have less environmental impact, Canadel has received the GREENGUARD certification for its low volatile organic compound emissions. Now, not only is Canadel furniture in greater harmony with nature, but this new certification also recognizes our healthier and more pleasant work environment.

EVERY ACTION COUNTS

Buying locally and optimizing the use and disposal of various materials through recycling and other activities, are just a few examples of actions taken by Canadel to reduce its environmental footprint.

Specifically, Canadel recycles cardboard, used metals, solid wood, lighting products, batteries, and other materials in accordance with appropriate methods. Aerosol containers, waste oils and solvents are collected and shipped to a chemical processing company. Packaging is made from recycled fibres.

Technological innovation is also at the heart of the company’s strategies. By optimizing production processes and acquiring new high-tech machinery, it is possible to reduce waste significantly. For example, Canadel has fabric cutting machines that minimize the amount of material waste. The remaining pieces of fabric are then donated to various organizations.

Finally, to limit plastic waste, Canadel has taken the initiative of offering reusable water bottles to all its employees, which they can refill from drinking fountains installed in the factories and offices. Electric vehicle charging stations have also been installed in the parking lots, encouraging this environmentally friendly choice.
