We believe in manufacturing products that are hand-assembled and hand-finished following the highest quality standards in the industry, according to environmentally-friendly processes. Since 1982, the Canadel vision has endured – offering personalized products tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer’s home. What we offer is heirlooms in the making: furniture so well made you will be passing it to your children who will then pass it on to theirs, keeping it all in the family.

Our Story

It all began when Mr. André Deveault, a model of audacity and perseverance, dreamed of launching his first furniture factory. Guy Deveault, André’s son and now CEO of Canadel, used to work in the family factory. “I worked there every summer while I was in school,” he recalls. “I did a bit of everything, starting in the factory and working my way up to foreman.”

In 1982, after graduating from university, Guy and his brother Michel joined their father to found the successful company we know today. Over the years, they have had to tackle a continuously evolving industry. They had to constantly renew themselves and push excellence ever further. They have succeeded in building a solid company, a loyal team, and highly successful products.

Michel and Guy Deveault inherited their passion for the furniture industry and learned all about job satisfaction from their father. They passed this passion on to their children, who now hold key positions in the company’s different departments. Timoty, Tristan, Marie-Christine and Jean-Philippe are following in their mentors’ footsteps, doing their part to introduce the innovations that keep the company at the forefront of the latest trends and technologies.

Our Social Involvement

Canadel is constantly thinking of the well-being of its employees and their families. And its actions confirm that the company takes care of its own, by offering up a beautiful fishing camp, outdoor spots to relax near work, a day camp for employees’ children, and all kinds of festive family events.
Canadel is also actively involved in its community. The company takes part in many different initiatives, to help make the area a dynamic and stimulating place to live. Canadel is thrilled to contribute to new sports and park infrastructure, to support schools, and to take part in many local events.
